MakerBot is looking for an experienced, creative, energetic and out-of-the-box person to head our marketing team. You will be a self-starter who has worked in entrepreneurial, start-up environments. You know how to market to consumers and small businesses, have a contact list that you can tap to bring in the best and the brightest to position MakerBot to be a household name! You are passionate about branding, social media, impeccable creative efforts and creating fun programs that make people want more MakerBot.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Developing a marketing strategy and plan to execute and live by
• Hiring and growing an “A” team to support your strategy
• Create creative, energetic and highly visible PR strategy
• Make social media work for MakerBot with an irresistible presence on Twitter, Facebook, MakerBot blog, Thingiverse as starters
• Position MakerBot as both the market and thought leader in the 3D printing industry
• Creating mind blowing support material for all MakerBot products through literature, case studies, competitions and beyond
• Meaningful and highly visible events program including presence in the community, in vertical markets and at industry trade shows
• Develop metrics to make sure that everything we do is a win
• Execute, have fun, win and replicate

Job Qualifications

• 2-5+ years in a position of either leadership in an early adopter technology company, a bleeding edge concept
• 2-5+ years of experience working with an entrepreneurial or start-up organization – preferably in taking a company from early adopter to mainstream marketplace
• You know how to cross the chasm
• Ability and willingness to work in a very fast paced environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Amazing communication skills – verbal, written and social media
• Extremely comfortable with all things Internet
• Excruciating attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience managing by P&L
• Ability to travel
• Ability to remain calm and thrive in a high-energy, high-stress and high-fun environment while delivering at the highest level

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with 3D printing
• Familiarity with MakerBot
